Nepal carpets production includes:
Wool selection and cleaning.
At the beginning wool is unbleachedand it need an accurate separation from foreign particles and a cleaning to remove dirt and impurities. This wool has long fibres and a strong structure; this is anoth er reason why this is an ideal wool with a high value.
Wool spinning.
Wool is spun and winded in skeins span.
Dyeing.
The dyeing is carried out by using high process machineries which dye the wool in watertight rooms. Nowadays this process is entirely done with natural products which respect health and the environment. The dyed thread is then dried in sunshine during some days.
Tying.
This step of the production is an art apart. Lot of people work the same carpet and tie each thread one by one.

Once the carpet is finished, it is finished in its edges and in its pattern by using scissors.
Cleaning and drying.
The carpets, washed with fresh water and soap, are dried in sunshine for 4 or 5 hours.
